Holy Cow Merchandise > the first Holy Cow T-shirt line

Little did I know that making T-shirts would lead to such creative diversity and not to mention it is down right fun ! ! ! So if you have an idea..let me know...anybody..or better yet, just do it yourself...

Ironically I still dont have my very own Holy Cow T-shirt...but I have something in the pipeline..."The Avengers" ring any bells...!? Hmm

This line of T-shirts is based upon the theme "I don't know what I am drawing but it seems to be turning out quite interesting". There is really not much to say besides the fact that this was purely unintentional. Though it is primarily based on stereotypical characters that I have seen. You know what!? oh ! just minus the word "stereotypical" .. characters is what I meant.

By the way : this would definitely be me >>>>>^

Hmm...Well try hanging out with a bunch of friends consisting mostly of Norwegians. Then you would probably figure out why this character comes to your mind !

On a side note you should...oh wait... YOU MUST ! get your hands on some Norwegian chocolate and some Holiday dip...that stuff is divine !!!

This one is from a different time and theme but it adds up for a t-shirt.

YES I know that the udders are missing but I ran out of colour.

Holy Cow is NOT a grudge holder !!!

No i don't have anything against the USA, nor do i want it to be blown up by some terrorist org...and no i don't belong to any terrorist org either !!! but i surely am discontent with the G.W.Bush agenda's but that's it !!

Anyways back to the image description...i was just watching the state of the union speech by G.W.Bush and an idea sprung to my mind....since the Holy Cow has an innate tendency to be mischievous...so it does what it has to, in the above pic to make his troublesome presence felt...

I really like the guys in all the camo..especially the first one...

The unfinished/crude Chibi Cows....

"Chibi is used to describe a style of drawing a character in a highly stylized way, with stubby bodies that are about the same size as the head, much like super deformed style."

This is my very first go at the "chibi style" of drawings. I still have a long way to go at getting adept at this art form but seeing as how much fun it is to actually draw them, i see myself doing a lot more art work with the influence of "chibi".

So i find these "chibi cows" quite fun and interesting to draw...they give a lot of character to my drawings now...!?

FREESTYLIN' Take 1 !!!

^^^^^^^^
............The Good............
The was my attempt at free styling....well turns out that its quite hard to get the hang of it.....but sooner or later ill be on top of it....

But as you see for yourself its takes bad creations to make good ones....so yea, making mistakes to get better....that's my method

..........The Bad.........
VVVVVVVVVV

The Impressionist series....

This series actually spawned off with the thought of spoofing off the Battle Royale, manga stickers that i had seen on the streets....by the way> Battle Royale 1 < good jap movie...

Anyways i intended to come up with my own ninja themed Holy Cows.. Surprisingly the end product was rather off the original idea....so i actually ended up creating a series of Holy Cow impressions of the various sci-fi/comic/movie characters that i had grown up with as a child....these characters had and still do have quite an influence on my creativity.... these are the respective Holy Cows >

1.Ninja Cow
2.Rambo Cow
3.Spartan Cow
4.Bat Cow
5.Terminator Cow
6.Cowabunga Cow aka Surfer Cow
7.Vader Cow
8.Rocker Cow

The Competition Sticker...

I seriously forgot to mention my mentor PRIM...a splendid Norwegian Graffiti Artist. Who has been doing superb graffiti for the last 10 yrs or so.....its all thanks to him for introducing me to the marvelous world of abstract expressionism called Graffiti....also thanks to his influence and criticism have i reached a point in time where i can come out with an original style....

Anyways....PRIM has been putting up his stickers,throw-ups,pieces and what not on a Norwegian graffiti website called > www.graffiti.no < ... i took his suggestion and started putting up my stuff there too... coming back to the point... the website has these STICKER competitions where the moderators post any random word...and all you have to do is to come up with your sticker sketch ..and then by the end of the month you can vote for your favorite....(the prize being nothing but recognition and short lived fame)....The photo from above was my first ever upload..well there are some really sweet looking graffiti styles there...so check the website out if you like .....

Realisation...

Its quite out of the ordinary when some things come out of your imagination and transform themselves into what you have envisioned quite passively in the back of your head.....this blog is the start of something quite similar that i relate to ....

Ive been sketching, doing graffiti for the last 3 years almost...and i have seen many awesome pieces till now....and quite instinctively i was drawing a style that was not completely mine...even though it was quite impressive ...even to the self....i was not quite satisfied with my outcome...never really content with my drawings...never felt original ... things transpired and out of nowhere.....it hits me...wham...! face first....and i end up producing something that was absolutely and completely my own....no form or style of graffiti did i passively and instinctively draw... the first image on the top was my first piece (sticker piece) in 3 years that i felt content with...finally Holy Cow was born ....

See for yourself...
